Summary

Wesley shows up looking for something to do, just as two of Cordelia's friends stop by the office to pick her up for a night on the town. Wesley and Angel cover for Cordelia while she has a vision. She describe a huge scary baby coming out of a large egg to Angel, writes down an address, and takes off with her friends. They talk about a fashion photographer that Cordy's been seeing, and how tonight with be their third date. Meanwhile, Wesley tags along with Angel and they kill a huge hatching demon.

Cordelia is having a great time on her date. The guy is cute, charming, successful, and obviously very taken with Cordelia. She bring him back to her apartment, and her ghost, Dennis, tries to un-dim the lights when Cordelia dims them, and change the sexy music Cordy puts on to polka. She goes into the kitchen to make some tea, and starts yelling at Dennis. Wilson, her date, follows her in and kisses her. They end up going to bed together. Cordelia wakes up the next morning more or less nine months pregnant.

Wesley and Angel come looking for Cordelia because she never showed up for work. They find her in bed, really distressed. Angel convinces her to call Wilson. She does, and his number is disconnected. Angel goes Wilson-hunting, while Wesley takes Cordelia to an Ob/Gyn for a pre-natal exam. The doctor sees over five heart beats on the ultrasound, and when he tries to remove some amniotic fluid, the fluid breaks through the syringe and then melts through the floor like acid.

Meanwhile, Angel questions the bartender at the club where Cordelia was, and the bartender directs him to Cordelia's friend, Serena, who sort of rules the pack. Angel shows up at Serena's apartment, and finds out she's just as pregnant as Cordelia. Serena says she thought there was something wrong with the guys they were hanging out with, 'cause they're money smelled weird and they seemed kind of jumpy. She tells Angel they hang out at private gun clubs.

Wesley takes Cordelia back to Angel's place, where she starts to show concern for her babies. She says there are 7 of them, and they're talking to her even though she can't understand what they're saying. She accuses Wesley of being scared and thinking that what's inside her is horrible. Wesley says he's not sure. Angel shows up, and Wesley pulls him aside and shows him the ultrasound. They realize that if there are multiple women, and they're each carrying around seven babies, that some demon must be raising an army. Angel starts looking up gun clubs, while Wesley starts researching possible demons. They see Cordelia chugging blood out of Angel's fridge 'cause she's hungry.

While Angel's off looking for the guys, Wesley figures out what demon it is. Cordelia sees the picture and grabs the book away from Wesley. Wesley assures her that the picture probably looks worse than it is, and that they'll find some way to terminate the pregnancy. Cordy freaks out, hits him unconscious with the book, and yells that no one is going to hurt her babies.

At the gun club, Angel fights it out with the guys, and after getting shot and beating most of them up, finds out where the shrine to the demon is. It turns out that these guys helped the demon impregnate women in exchange for fame and fortune.

Cordelia meets up with the many (about eight) other pregnant women at an industrial park. They all don white gowns and climb into a vat of liquid.

Angel calls Wesley and tells him to meet him at the industrial park. Wesley wanrs Angel that it's going to be near impossible to kill this thing. Fire won't kill it, decapitation won't kill it, and it's really huge. Angel asks Wesley if he can shoot straight.

Wesley shows up at the vat of liquid and tells Cordelia to get out of that vile smelling stuff. She refuses, saying he doesn't understand. The huge demon (like a few stories tall) comes out of a hole in the wall and tells Wesley to leave the mother of his children alone. Wesley stalls, challenging the demon to a fight and referring to the biblical story of David and Goliath. Finally, Angel comes running in and flings a tank of gas at the demon. The demon easily catches it, and looks down at it trying to figure out why Angel threw it at him. Wesley pulls out a gun and shoot the tank, which turns out to be liquid nitrogen. The demon drops the tank as it starts to spill its contents all over him, and he freezes. Meanwhile, the women in the tank scream and grab their bellies. As soon as the tank is empty and the demon is totally frozen, Cordelia comes to her senses, gets out of the vat, and throws a hanging pulley thing at the demon which shatters his frozen form.

Angel and Wesley are straightening up the office, anticipating Cordelia's return. She comes back to the office after two days' rest, already able to joke about her experience, and tells them how much she appreciates their help, and that she's learned there are two people in this world with which she can trust her life.
