Glenn Quinn was in the original cast as a half-demon named Allan Francis Doyle. Doyle found Angel in the pilot episode and gave him some direction because he had visions from the powers that be that showed him where trouble was so that Angel could hunt it down. He had a crush on Cordelia, and before he sacrificed his own life to save a bunch of other half-demons, he kissed her and left her his power of visions.
